Through experience, I have found that therapy is most effective when grounded in understanding, compassion and collaboration. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where we can explore and uncover some of the roadblocks that moved you to seek therapy and to process and heal from past and present struggles. I am passionate about helping you better understand your internal experience, process your thoughts and identify unhelpful patterns and behaviors that might be hindering personal growth and overall happiness. It is my goal to make sure that you feel fully seen, heard and understood in our work together.
I received my Masters in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University and have worked in a variety of settings including hospital-based inpatient psychiatric units, outpatient mental health and community-based mental health services. I have experience helping individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder/trauma, low self-esteem, grief and loss, relationship stress, substance abuse, life transitions and more. My approach is warm, empathetic, and curious, and I work through a strengths-based, person-centered lens.
