As your therapist, it is my goal to uplift and support you as we work together towards resolving your challenges in a safe and non-judgmental space all while fostering your dormant strengths, insight, and self-confidence. I have worked with a wide spectrum of ages and backgrounds and have honed my skills assisting those struggling with anxiety, depression, challenges unique to the LGBTQIA community, struggles with body image, or just everyday stressors that keep us from being the very best versions of ourselves.
My therapeutic approach has its roots in social work principles where I incorporate a strengths-based approach, a touch of motivational interviewing, and with a dash of some cognitive behavioral therapy to top it all off. I strive to make each session catered specifically to your needs where I will guide and empower you through processing your feelings, thoughts, emotions, or anything that happens to keep you up at night. You have the inner strength to conquer the obstacles that stand in your way, you possess the resourcefulness to overcome trying times, and most importantly you took the first step towards a brighter future. Let me walk with and guide you on this journey as we challenge maladaptive thoughts and foster new perspectives and adaptive behaviors towards a more resilient you.
I strongly value diversity and the enrichment that it can bring to people’s lives. As a therapist, I am culturally competent, affirming with regards to your gender identity, and will ensure that you have a comfortable and safe space to be authentically you. Therapy can be a wonderful and life-changing experience. I look forward to being your guide on this road to reinvention.
