Times of transition can often cause us to feel overwhelmed and alone. While people close to us may be supportive, we may not always feel able to share with them our doubts and discomfort. Having an empathetic therapist who can objectively help us navigate the journey is invaluable.
My office is a safe place where you can explore your fears, identify your strengths and resilience, and build new coping skills. Using a strengths-based and person-centered approach, my aim is to create an inclusive environment where my clients can explore their identities, heal from trauma, and overcome loss.
In addition to my clinical training, I’ve worked many years in education and the literary arts. Through the combination of my professional experiences, I’ve developed an adaptable and pragmatic counseling style that incorporates psychoanalytic and evidence-based modalities. You will find that I am a caring and compassionate listener, and one who is open minded and genuinely curious about the depth and complexity of our lives.
My clients are people who live with physical or cognitive disabilities, those who have struggled with depression and anxiety, and those who have experienced complex trauma or loss. Additionally, I have many years of experience working with the transgender, queer, and LGB populations and am familiar with the unique obstacles often
Therapy works best as a collaborative experience. If you believe that we would work well together, please contact our office to make an appointment. I’m looking forward to our journey.
