Lily Thrope, LMSW
Finding a therapist can feel like a burden, but it does not have to be. Treatment can be rewarding if you feel comfortable sharing your true feelings openly with your therapist. My goal is to foster the trusting and affirming relationship that is essential to successful treatment, and to create an accepting and non-judgmental environment. I have experience working with clients who are struggling with relationships, stress, anxiety, body image, LGBTQ and more.
The approaches I use center around the strengths of the client, allowing the client to guide the work. I use a mixture of Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Also, as a yoga instructor, I have learned the importance of being present in each moment and with each client through their struggle. As a therapist, I commit to bear witness to your struggle and to help you develop techniques for moving forward through emotional obstacles.
If you are feeling stuck in your life or in a situation, our work will help you break free from emotional baggage, which can be liberating. As a therapist, I work with my clients to solve issues by interrupting old emotional patterns and moving forward towards innovative ways of thinking.
