I believe Psychotherapy is a collaborative venture that can help you lead a fulfilling life and maintain healthy relationships. In our work together my intention is to create a judgement-free space where I can understand your personal experience and nurture and support you in your journey towards wholeness and change. If you suffer with states of depression, feelings of fear, anxiety, or loneliness, or you feel generally dissatisfied with aspects of your life, through our work together we can explore skills and tools that move you toward growth and happiness.
I dedicated the bulk of my time in graduate school to substance abuse because I understand the difficulties associated with overcoming addiction. I also recognize that sometimes clients are not ready for change. In a collaborative working relationship we can assess goals and what will allow you to succeed. Because addiction affects the whole family, I can help family members coping with anxiety and feelings of hopelessness in relation to the loved one who is struggling. Additionally, I can help clients address LGBTQ issues and early family dynamics.
