Meet with Genevieve
My intention is to provide a warm and open environment where you feel understood and safe. Together, we will confront your passions, joys, pains, and motivation for change, and we will identify goals for your personal growth. I will be committed to showing up and actively listening each week using strengths-based, trauma-informed, and holistic approaches to ensure you are empowered and recognizing your progress and potential, on both the fun days and the challenging days.
I’ve worked with individuals and families who have experienced challenges relating to anxiety, depression, family, relationship, and intimacy issues, communication issues, identity and self-esteem issues, life transitions, and trauma. My master’s degree from University of Southern California and my continued commitment to staying up-to-date on best practices provides me with training and tools to make sure you are receiving the best care possible. By using methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solutions Focused therapy, Client-Centered therapy, I ground my practice in theories, while staying open to exploring the paradoxes of human thoughts, behaviors and relationships.
My belief is that humans are meant to support each other, and a collaborative relationship built on trust is a necessary learning tool on the journey to self actualization. Choosing to make your health and growth a priority in your life is something that I am honored to be a part of.
When I’m not providing therapy, I enjoy live music, running, and learning about wine.
