My credentials are below. But, what really matters is who we are as people and how we connect. Research cites “Counselor Effect” as the best predictor of who will benefit from therapy. Simply stated, it’s the effect that a therapist has on a client. In truth, our relationship is never a one-sided. Patients have as much impact on me as I hope to have on them. Long after their departure, they’re still a part of me.
Every therapist strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space with positive regard and empathy. Where we differ is in style. Mine is infused with life experience, strength, and humor. The best part of my work is when I really get someone and they feel completely understood. Sometimes, it takes another person to see great things in you that you can’t see in yourself.
My work combines the depth of psychotherapy with pragmatic life coaching to design a life on your terms. Together we’ll identify your most important values and beliefs and align them with active goals and strategies.
When I’m not working, I love nature and being outdoors. I’m a huge Prince fan. I enjoy live performances and movies that are so bad they’re good. Sometimes I enjoy cursing. My pleasures in life are simple.
