Who We Are

“Nobody roots for Goliath.” ~ Wilt Chamberlain

Who We Are

We’re human beings with life experience, including our share of victories and defeats. We’re people with personal stories and family histories. Like others, we’ve suffered losses and weathered life’s hardships. And, it’s made us stronger therapists. It deepened our compassion, empathy, and personal commitment to excellence. Hardship can be a gift. That’s tough to grasp in the moment. But, without it we lose opportunities to develop strength, confidence, and resilience. It’s never about how many times you get knocked down. It’s all about how many times you get up. We’re here to help you get up.

Who We Aren’t

We aren’t a group of recent grads in their first job. We aren’t people pleasers hiding from difficult conversations to ease our own discomfort or to avoid losing a client. We aren’t passive observers who nod silently through your session. We aren’t afraid to challenge you, when it’s necessary to promote your growth, or comfort you when you need it. And, we aren’t entitled to your trust or to bear witness to your story. That has to be earned.

“Nothing is given. Everything is earned.” ~ LeBron James

“Continuous effort- not strength or intelligence- is the key to unlocking our potential.” ~ Winston Churchill
